On 9 March we met up for a Friendly two-person team event at Winge Golf and Country Club which is a very nice course about an hour outside of Brussels. We were treated to a course in great condition with dry fairways after all the rain we have received these past few weeks. The competition was close to say the least with our top three teams. Well done to all that played!
Darryl Rupp and Katrin Wien came in first place and proved to be the team to beat today. With the points awarded as the winning team Darryl has now extended his lead in overall team standings and Katrin made a big leap from being tied for 9th place to now being tied for 5th in overall standings.
Chan Faymetta and Josh Ellwein came in second place. As of last week, Chan was tied for 2nd place in club standings. With this win Chan secured sole possession of 2nd place and has a three-point lead over two members tied for 3rd place.
Ken Emerson and Joe O’Leary came in third place. Ken also jumped in the overall standings from being in 4th place to now tied for 3rd place. Lots of movements up and down the leader board this week as we get closer to the Club Championship in June. We welcomed Joe O’Leary as a new member and are glad to have him on our team. Hope to see you at future events Joe!

Arvid Halvorsen had a tremendous drive on hole #6 and firmly secured longest drive of the day.
Our next event is the President’s Cup scheduled to take place on 7 April at Louvain-la-Neuve. Please help to get the word out to members.
