This years Opening Cup was held at Falnuee. A crazy day, with a torturous three seasons worth of weather. It was cold, it was hot. It was cloudy, it was sunny. It was rainy, dry and sleeting. The day was calm, then blowing cards over, then calm again. The course was challenging. It was a great opening event. We had 13 in the field.
In the end Katrin Wien, took the Barry Barr Trophy, with 30 stableford points. Jeff Da Rin took the under 18HC, with Arvid Halvorsen as runner up. Katrin stepped back up to take the over 18HC, with Wolfgang Wien a close second.
Jeff Da Rin took longest drive, with a whopping 280M go. He may have had to replace the ball after that. Darryl Rupp was all over the pin, taking closest to the pin.
Itf was a great day of golf and more importantly and excellent day out with friends on a demanding course.
