Well my dear duffers it was not our finest hour. SHAPE won the match 12 - 6 and truth be told we scored many of our points off SHAPE players substituting as NATO fighters. They were true sports for us; one must admit they held nothing back!
The dinner at L’Saisonnaire was superb however, and our SHAPE hosts rose well to the late-minute change of venues for our post-match dinner. I received stellar comments from several diners on the high quality of restaurant if you ever find yourself in Mons-Jurbise.
We need to increase our participation in this event. I noted that we will try to convince SHAPE to hold next year’s matches on a Saturday or Sunday versus the Friday afternoon. More as we plan to finally recover the cup 2016.
